It Sucks to Be Me

Two years ago today, or two years ago tomorrow, or maybe even yesterday -- I'm not good at keeping track of things. But still, two years ago -- I moved to New York.

When talking about moving, everyone says it's been a "crazy ride", and that's because, for the most part, it's true. If you want a crazy, bonkers, biggest-leap-of-your-life, continuous-mix-of-elation-and-fear, beautifully-insane journey: New York's your place. If you want security, try Idaho.

(Note: I've never been to Idaho.)

Things are still a struggle, and I'm pretty sure they'll be for awhile, but that's okay. Because I can't believe the sights I've seen. I can't believe the people I've met. I can't believe the experiences I've had. And sometimes, on rare, rare occasions, I wonder if I made the right choice to move here. But then I see a show, or walk through the park, or take a class, and I'm reminded all over again why, as someone very wise once told me (i.e. my father), I'm exactly where I need to be.

So, here's to two more years of struggling. Heck, here's to twenty, if that's how long it takes. Here's to more years of exuberance and tears and laughter and worth. Because I'm here for the journey. And I'm here for good.

King of the World

Done and done.

This week feels like it's dragged on forever! I don't think I have much on my plate right now, but it seems I have the busiest schedule that any past incarnation of me has ever had.

But that's good. That's why I'm here.

One of the more fun things on my plate this week was finally attending the NY Actors Tweetup. This is a gathering of actors, writers, directors, and general creative-types to leave the digital screen and come together every-so-often for drinks, conversation, and fun. Hosted by the wonderful Erin Cronican (@erincronican) and lovely Marissa Mutascio (@marissamutascio) - follow them! - I had more fun than is legally allowed. If you're in the area, check it out. If you're not, find one near you (I know there's an LA one...) I certainly can't wait for the next tweetup.

How do you like the new names? Tweet @harborcomic your thoughts. Follow the comic, too, if you like. You know, no big deal... we'll probably follow you back... whatevs...

Next Week: The 100th comic! How will we celebrate? (If Lee has her way, probably with glitter.)

See you then!

Different Names for the Same Thing

Ta-Da!!!

So, there ya go. From now on I'll be using these names for the characters. Hopefully that'll arise all new HILARIOUS situations! But probably not.

Already know you're going to have trouble remembering who's who now? I'll post a link to this comic for easy reference soon. So, never.

And, yes, the title is not from a musical. It's just incredibly apt, so I had to use it.

Love and Fishes!
